Spell-The-Word™

First Digital Press Ltd. ("we," "us," or "our") built the Spell-The-Word™ application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.

This policy applies to the Spell-The-Word™ App available on the Google Play Store, the Apple App Store, and for desktop platforms. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

        Spell-The-Word™ is designed as a fully offline application. The App does not require an internet connection to function, and its core features operate entirely on your device.
      

The App does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers. Specifically:

No personal data is collected. The App does not ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, location, or any other personally identifiable information.

No usage analytics or tracking. The App does not use analytics SDKs, tracking pixels, advertising identifiers, or any third-party analytics services.

No advertising. The App contains no advertisements and does not integrate with any advertising networks or demand-side platforms.

No network requests. The App makes no outbound network connections of any kind. It does not communicate with any server, API, or cloud service.

No camera, microphone, contacts, or location access. The App does not request or access any sensitive device permissions beyond what is required for basic operation.

2. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The App stores the following data locally on your device to support gameplay:

User profile preferences: your chosen display name (which defaults to "Guest" and never leaves your device), selected difficulty level, game mode, and timer settings.

High scores and session history: your scores, streaks, and performance statistics from completed sessions.

Named profiles: if you create multiple player profiles, these are stored locally.

App settings: your preferences for sound effects, background music, text-to-speech, and display options.

All of this data is stored in a single local file on your device. It is never transmitted to us or to any third party. If you uninstall the App, this data is deleted automatically by your device's operating system.

3. In-App Purchases

The App offers a one-time in-app purchase to unlock the full version after a 30-day free trial period. This purchase is processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, not by us. We do not receive, process, or store any payment information, credit card numbers, or billing details.

4. Children's Privacy

The App is rated for general audiences. Because the App collects no personal information whatsoever, it does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). No registration, account creation, or personal data entry is required to use the App.

5. Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate with any third-party services, SDKs, APIs, social media platforms, or cloud services. The only third-party involvement is the distribution platform (Apple App Store or Google Play Store) through which you downloaded the App, and optionally the device's built-in text-to-speech engine, which is a system-level service provided by your device manufacturer and governed by their own privacy policy, not ours.

6. Data Security

Because no personal data is collected or transmitted, there is minimal data security risk associated with using the App. The locally stored game data (profiles, scores, settings) is protected by your device's own security measures (device lock, encryption, etc.). We recommend keeping your device's operating system updated to benefit from the latest security protections.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Deleting your data: You can delete all locally stored App data at any time by uninstalling the App, or by using your device's "Clear App Data" / "Offload App" function.

Resetting in-app: The App provides a "Reset All" option within the High Scores / Leaderboard screen to clear your scores and session history without reinstalling.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
